Attendees of the ASCRS Annual Meeting will have the opportunity to attend a new ASCRS Satellite CME Program, “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: When Identifying the Problem Is Not Enough, Leadership Must Take Action,” on Monday from 8:00–9:30 a.m. Moderators Ann Caroline Fisher, MD, and Leon Herndon Jr., MD, spoke to EyeWorld about what to expect at the program that focuses on a social justice issue.

ASCRS Film Festival celebrates 40th anniversary with return of in-person event

The ASCRS Film Festival is back after happening virtually the last 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only will the 2022 ASCRS Annual Meeting see the return of an in-person event, but it will also be a celebration of the 40th year of the festival. Shachar Tauber, MD, chairman of the event, talked about year’s Film Festival and his excitement about being involved.
