When performing cataract surgery in patients with keratoconus, there are considerations for surgical planning, lenses, and techniques that surgeons need to account for to ensure success. Two ophthalmologists discussed how they handle these patients, including testing, formulas, and IOL selection.

In the 20+ years since intracorneal ring segments were first introduced, there have been several advances, both in terms of techniques and materials. EyeWorld spoke with three physicians for the latest in the world of intracorneal ring segments.
In a symposium at the 2023 ASCRS Annual Meeting, six cases with irregular corneas were presented and the panel was challenged to answer what would they do. This article gives an overview of those cases.
