In this issue’s EyeSustain Update column, one physician discussed the utility of the Sustainability Index for Disposables in Cataract Surgery (SIDICS) calculator developed by ESCRS. SIDICS promotes the use of eco-friendly materials, recycling initiatives, and waste reduction strategies in cataract surgery.
