In his introduction to the Spring issue, EyeWorld Chief Medical Editor Sumit “Sam” Garg, MD, discussed the 50th anniversary of the Society and highlighted some key events happening at the 2024 ASCRS Annual Meeting.
Sumit “Sam” Garg, MD, invited Jeff Pettey, MD, to share his perspectives on lessons learned from his career thus far and how this impacts his outlook on how he approaches the care of patients both domestically and abroad.
“Ophthalmic surgery can be humbling. From time to time all surgeons experience challenges in surgery that can sometimes result in suboptimal outcomes or morbidity to our patients,” said Sumit “Sam” Garg, MD, Chief Medical Editor. In his introduction to the “Complicated cases” issue, he previewed some of the topics covered.
