The Magnificent Mile
Many of the topnotch stores in Chicago are located on this mile-long area of North Michigan Avenue. Shopping centers here include the 900 North Michigan Shops, which has a six-level Bloomingdales and about a dozen restaurants and 70 retail stores; The Shops at North Bridge, which covers the nine-block North Bridge area and has a four-level shopping center; and Water Tower Place, featuring an eight-level atrium and more than 100 stores.

Oak Street
Check out this Chicago shopping area that’s home to many designer stores located in converted townhouses. It’s located at the northern end of the Magnificent Mile. Stores include Harry Winston, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Louboutin, and Jimmy Choo, among others.
